Last nights stay in Port Gaverne went really well. The place was called a hotel but it was laid out more like a big B&B. The room was nice and a good size with access to a wrap around balcony and a full sized bath. I enjoyed quite a nice soak in it this morning. I decided to splurge and have a stake for dinner. This ended up being a poor choice being that half of it was about as easy to chew as a tire, but the other half wasn't too bad.

I started my hike to Treknow around 9:30 this morning leaving my bags at the Hotel. I hired a porting service to drive them to my next stay and was quite afraid that they would some how not make it and I would be in a bit of trouble. But this was not the case at all. I finished my hike by 1:30 and my bags were already at the B&B. The hike itself was better than expected. The forecast was for a fair amount of scattered rain and wind. They were indeed scattered and scattered in a way that they missed me (just barely) for the entire day. The wind however did not disappoint, nearly knocking me over from time to time. Thankful the wind came from the ocean therefor pushing me away from the ledges not towards it.
Before I left I spent a good amount of time looking at my route via satellite on google maps. I must say satellite does no justice to elevation change. The hike was only 7 miles yet I was either climbing or descending quite steeply the entire day making it a bit fatiguing. Luckily although tomorrows hike is around 14 miles the elevation change is supposed to be much less severe.
That pretty much sums up today and now I do think I will go visit what lore says was once King Arthur's Castle. Should be quite interesting, post on that is sure to come.
